Do you really think all kids with unusual names will really be ridiculed?
So often I read on here people stating that children with certain names are sure to be made fun of and/or get beat up because of their names.
I grew up with some children with unusual names and we never made fun of them.
Some of the names of kids I grew up with:
Sunshine
Lorlei (pronounced Lor-Lie)
Charlie (girl)
Star
Zan
LaVonnia
Laurissa
Percinamin (this could be spelled wrong but it was like Per-cinnamin)
Kids with unusual names aren't always ridiculed at school. I have 8 children (6 with unusual names) and they have never been teased or ridiculed at school ONCE.
It depends on the type of person the child is as to whether there will be problems. My children were all friendly, popular kids who got on well with everyone.
Another thing people say is that with an unusual name you will not get a good job. That is absolutely absurd. Four of my kids are now adults and they all have excellent careers. One is a chef, one has his own IT business and two are in the Military.
An unusual name does not destroy your life.
An unusual name makes people remember you and makes your life good. Who can remember which one of the 50 Aiden's who went for the job interview? I bet the prospective employer can remember the one Kruze who attended.
