Infant Roundabout Convertible
A look at what is currently available on eBay
QUESTION ABOUT CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT?
If you bought a car seat with 40 lbs maximum weight and when you child outgrown of it, would you switch to booster seat or another carseat with 65 lbs maximum weight? I just wonder why people say to buy the 40 lbs carseat is waste of money, anyway you have to switch your child to booster when he reach to 40lbs?
And one more question, I can not decide between Britax Roundabout 50 and Maxi Cosi. I don't see them in person , they're just sold online. I'd like to buy one with comfortable and cool cover so my baby is not wet in summer. He's always getting wet in his infant car seat even in winter, that material is horrible.
So i need your experiences.
Thank you.
I went to many stores and couldn't find these 2 kind in stores
Maxi Cosi is a no-no. They're part of the Dorel Juvenile Group--think an upscale name slapped on Cosco, Safety 1st, and Eddie Bauer parts. And you do NOT switch your child to a booster at 40 lbs. You purchase 1 convertible seat with a 65 lb, 70 lb, or 80 lb weight limit.
Options:
Britax Marathon (65 lbs)
Britax Boulevard (65 lbs)
Sunshine Kids Radian 65 (65 lbs)
Sunshine Kids Radian 80 (80 lbs)
Recaro Como (70 lbs)
Recaro Sigmo (70 lbs)
You can order them online. Most places have free shipping. Elitecarseats.com or hipmonkey.com have some good deals. You can also do price comparisons to find the cheapest price on pricegrabber.com
