What's the best way to pack a moving truck?
I know heavy things in first, essential items in last. But I'm definitely a newbie - my husband and I have never moved on our own before. How do you pack something like a crib? I'm sure it doesn't just go on its legs, right?? On it's side maybe? Wrapped in blankets? How do I secure it? Do I have to have bungee cords? How do I secure expensive TV and electronics? Keep doors shut on dressers?
So much to think about!!
You've had lots of good advice so far. What I can add is that you use tape to keep the doors and drawers shut on furniture. Also, pack the truck very snugly and fill every little space, using lots of blankets and packing material. A truck that is packed snugly is safer and it is less likely that anything will be damaged.
