I Cut Myself on a Staple In An Old House? Will I Get Tetanus?!?
I cut myself on my hand on a staple sticking up. It was holding carpeting to a floor. The staple wasn't rusty..it looked a little white though, as if paint flakes were on it. The wound wasn't deep..the blood was very minimal..it stayed in the cut and didn't flow out.
That was about 10-20 minutes ago. I did have a tetanus booster (Im pretty sure it was a booster) 2 or 3 weeks ago. I washed the cut and put neosporan and a band-aid on it.
Looking at the cut..it seems to have disappeared. There is no sign of discoloration or dirt in the area.
Do you think I will be fine? Will I get Tetanus?
uh, no. all u needed to do was wash ur hand with water and then put hydrogen peroxide and a band-aid. and you should have been fine. but since it was minimal. u could have skipped the peroxide part. so since u don't see it. u are probably fine.
