German Shepherd peeing after spay?
I just brought my 7 month old home from being spayed. She was absolutely out of it. When we got home the blanket was wet, like she had peed, but it wasn't enough to soak into my car seat. I moved her to our fenced in patio. (where we can easily watch her from the kitchen). She was laying on a padded mat, and attempted to get up 3 times, then she just wet herself. It was a very large puddle. So her entire belly got soaked, along with her legs and chest. Is this normal? I would carry her to the grass, but she is 55 pounds of dead weight, and it took all my energy getting her through the house and out the back. What do ya'll suggest? Also, is this a problem for the stitches? (They are dissolvable). The vet told me to keep them dry. Should I roll her over to dry them? She is sleeping right now, so i'd hate to disturb her after such a hard day.
she is probably just really out of it from the anesthesia. i would try and keep the stitches dry though. and if she still cant get up tomarow, id call the vet and ask them about it. good luck with your puppy 8-]
